Final Editorial Layouts

This spread uses a full page black & white wedding photograph to illustrate the adjoining story.

The scripty font used for the title and the newspaper type used for the main body text help to convey the setting and the era in which the story takes place.

Specific quotes have been extracted from the text to draw the readers eye and immediately make these instances stand out.

Four Page Spread:
This spread's layout is more drawn out which enables the title and images to really stand out as there is more space for them, the text also runs over 2 pages.

Display Board Layout:
The display board below is made up of some of the various elements that contributed to the design of the main editorial pages. They also encompass the same styling and colour scheme.

  1. Good man Jayson, your grandparents will love it.
A few things need to be corrected before its print ready though. The header typography works well and the serif fonts suit the period, however, I would advise changing the body text, the all caps font does not flow well. Also, have someone proof read your text, there are some grammar amendments that need to be addressed.
It is shaping up as a 3 or 4 page story I think and the text should run over that. When you have done this, take in a black and white printed copy and I will mark it up for you on monday.
